Foundation course questions, answered.

The practical details that help families decide.

Compare all SHSAT options
Who is the SHSAT Foundation Course for?

Foundation is for students new to SHSAT preparation or still strengthening core Math and English Language Arts skills. It also supports students who need a consistent study routine, more confidence, or a clearer approach to SHSAT-style questions. A diagnostic and advising conversation help confirm placement.

Is the Foundation course live online or in person?

Foundation classes are available in person in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, and live online. Confirm the format for your selected cohort. Students receive recorded lessons, the Infinite Academics online learning platform, and two proprietary SHSAT prep books.

What is the weekly schedule?

The listed Foundation schedule is Monday Math and Wednesday English Language Arts, both from 5 to 7 p.m. New York time. The program runs for 10 weeks with four live instructional hours each week. Confirm the next start date and seat availability with the team.

What if my child misses a class?

Every session is recorded and posted to the online platform so students can review a missed lesson. Keep up with assigned homework and practice, and discuss any attendance requirements with the team.

How much does the SHSAT Foundation Course cost?

The listed total tuition is $1,198. Families may pay in full or in two monthly payments of $599. Both options include live classes, platform access, recorded lessons, homework, practice tests, progress tracking, and two SHSAT prep books. Confirm current enrollment terms before registering.

Can my child move into Advanced later?

Yes. Foundation develops the skills needed for more demanding SHSAT work. The team reviews practice results and readiness before recommending a move into Advanced or Super Advanced. Progression is based on the student, not an automatic promotion after a set number of weeks.

How does the score-growth guarantee work?

The course lists a conditional +100-point improvement or 540+ score guarantee for students who attend classes, complete homework, and take practice tests. Ask the team for the full written eligibility, baseline, measurement, and remedy terms before enrolling. This is not a guarantee of admission to a specialized high school.
